What to CHOOSE in Animate

SUMMARY:

Adobe Animate, originally called FutureSplash Animator, was developed by FutureWave and acquired by Macromedia in 1996. The software is used for creating animations, interactive web content, and flash games. Macromedia Flash is used for creating online games, which require a Flash player to download.

       When opening
Macromedia Flash, animators can create new preset windows and adjust the resolution based on their needs. Character Animation is a popular option, and the resolution can be set to 1920 x 1080, 1280 x 720, or 1080 x 1920 for TikTok or YouTube Shorts. Frames per second (fps) are also set to enhance the animation's realism. Animators sometimes animate at 24 fps, as it adds realism to their animations.

Actionscript is the platform type for creating animations, as it is not coding HTML or creating games for IOS. This allows animators to have all the filters and settings they need for their animation. The software's popularity can be attributed to its ability to create realistic and engaging animations.

If you want to know in detail about the types of animation, read them down below:

Introduction:

What is Adobe Animate? If you are 1990 kid, you would be aware that Animate was programmed by FutureWave company with the name 'FutureSplash Animator'. Macromedia bought the software in 1996 when the company added , and I got to know about it when I was 8 years old in 2002. So, I went through the whole process: seeing the release of Flash 8 and being there, when it was sold to Adobe and up to now when the title has been changed to Animate.

Usage:

Adobe Animate is used for making animations, interactive content of web using Actionscript or HTML5 Canvas, and making flash games. Do you recall online games, needing for Flash player to download? Yes, those games were created using Macromedia Flash. But, we will go over animation side of  it because frankly, I am not a programmer instead I am an animator.

Starting Up:

When you first open Macromedia Flash, you will be confronted with preset windows [You can click on "Preset" to see that blog where I explain about the presets]. As an animator, you just want to click, "Create New". The resolution does not matter right away; though, it will matter when you will be rendering. For the reason is that Animate typically works in Vector art, which means zooming in and out will not disrupt the image. This will open a window with all document settings that you need by default, and the one I utilize is Character anmation.

You have all the different tabs based on things you desire. I usually make the rectangle in 1920 x 1080 resolution, so that I have bigger place to draw, or you can leave it at 1280 x 720. If you want to animate in portrait mode for
Tiktok or YouTube Shorts, then make the resolution vice versa. For example 1080 x 1920.

Below that, you can set frames per second: the more the frames, the smoother the animation. However, I totally tested it out and recognized why animators occasionally animate in 24 fps {Frames per second}. Yes, in numbers, 30 or 60 fps might sound like an excellent speed; nevertheless, I digress that 24 fps just adds realism to your animation, and even if you see dramas in 60 fps, it looks like it is unreal or too fast.

Your platform type is going to be
Actionscript because you are not coding HTML, you are not creating games for IOS and also Actionscript will allow you to have all of the filters and settings you need for your animation.
